The future of web apps

The presenters at today's conference in Kensington shared interesting input to anybody who is considering large scale web deployments. Advice like observing, measuring and learning from user behaviour and using that information to plan for scaling the application and the infrastructure is a valuable insight and something I recognise from when I was part of rolling out a web based collaborative matter management platform. Ryan Carson's presentation on how to build an enterprise web app on a budget (of £30k) should be interesting for budding entrepreneurs.
Also enjoyed talking with Nancy and Matthew who are both running their own web design companies.
I have posted my notes from the conference on flickr in mindmap format.

Update [10 Feb 2006]: The tool I used to create the mind maps is Mind Manager from MindJet. I have written about it before.

That's really cool! If only you'd have been able to provide these before my talk, the whole creative process would have been much less painful! :D
