New Geography 101

I asserted that Geography is here to stay and thanks to the many comments received I thought it was worthwhile to post a follow-up: The world is in a better state than previously thought...

• There are cameras with GPS built in or capable of hooking up to a GPS (Ricoh makes one)
• There is software that will reconcile GPS logs with digital photos
• GPS manufacturer Garmin has also launched a GPS phone
• Geotagging is all the rage on flickr (with 37k+ photos and counting)

Then again, my friend Ken has published photos with location indications for the past three years without resorting to any these tricks (photos from Jordan, requires IE).
